Brief Bio:

I know from personal experience how difficult & scary it can be to open up & talk about our most deep, vulnerable, hidden self. This step is often the hardest to take, but it also means we are starting a new journey & creating a path of healing for ourselves. Life’s difficulties come at us from all directions, and they can be intertwined with past experiences including our family, friends, culture, trauma, environment, etc. I strive to provide a safe, confidential, and trusting place to talk about the concerns or burdens that can weigh us down and sometimes keep us frozen in place.
One of my goals is that through our work together you will find growth, meaning, empowerment & healing. My main approach to therapy is person centered, but I bring in other therapies & methods that best fit individual needs.
I believe a helpful therapeutic relationship includes an empathetic, supportive, & challenging approach while respecting individuality. I am passionate about access to affordable mental health care for all who need them & am willing to show flexibility in extenuating circumstances.

Involvements & Interests in Psychoanalysis & Psychodynamic Therapies:

psychodynamic theory is an approach I use in my current practice. I want to continue learning and growing in this area as well as consult with other therapist.
