Polina E. Varner, MSW LCSW is a therapist with 20+ years of experience in the mental health field. She works part-time at the OU Health Child Study Center, where she treats complex cases in children with various disabilities (e.g. autism, selective mutism, anxiety, depression, ADHD, behavioral problems, etc.) and she is also in private practice in Oklahoma City.where she sees adults (18+) for open-ended, depth-psychology based treatments. Her wide range of expertise encompasses helping people who suffer from depression, anxiety and severe mental health/substance abuse issues. The types of therapy: relational psychoanalytic/psychodynamic, trauma-informed, behavior modification, parenting and attachment-based treatments, and emotionally-focused therapies. In addition, Polina loves helping parents of anxious children by offering SPACE model (Supportive Parenting for Childhood Anxious Emotions). I have completed 3 years of Foundations Psychoanalytic courses with OSPS, and the 2-year post-graduate certificate program at CPI (Contemporary Psychodynamic Institute). I have attended and organized numerous study groups over the years related to various models of psychoanalytic therapies. Currently, I am particularly interested in dream interpretation and Carl Jung's school of psychology.
