Brief Bio:
Hi, I’m Elizabeth. I’m Licensed Master Social Worker at Valir PACE, where I provide comprehensive case management, biopsychosocial assessments, and care coordination for older adults in an interdisciplinary setting. My clinical lens is strengthened by my prior experience as a Registered Behavior Technician, which taught me structured behavior analysis, rapport building, and evidence-based intervention skills that continue to influence my practice today.
Outside of clinical work, I host the So Happy Together podcast—a relationship wellness platform grounded in psychoanalytic theory, exploring how early experiences, unconscious patterns, attachment dynamics, and inner conflicts shape the way we love. Through this project, I translate complex psychological concepts into accessible conversations that promote insight, self-awareness, and healthier relating.
I’m also pursuing my clinical licensure with a strong interest in providing psychotherapy, particularly in areas involving relational patterns, trauma, attachment, and the deeper emotional work that supports long-term healing.
Involvements & Interests in Psychoanalysis & Psychodynamic Therapies:
My interest in psychoanalysis grew from my experience as a Registered Behavior Technician and my work as a social worker. I’ve seen firsthand how our state of being—and the unconscious processes shaping it—directly influence behavior patterns. When we don’t acknowledge what’s happening beneath the surface, we lose the ability to recognize the cycles that increase our vulnerability to trauma, dysregulation, and self-destructive choices. Understanding the unconscious not only helps us make sense of behavior, but also opens the door to meaningful, sustainable change.
Psychodynamic theory within couples work is my primary area of interest. Over the past several years—especially in the post-COVID landscape—I’ve observed how relationship tenacity has become increasingly fragile. People deeply desire connection, yet their capacity to sustain it is shaped by social media, dating apps, shifting cultural norms, unresolved trauma, and even political polarization. These forces interact with each individual’s internal world, often activating unconscious fears, defenses, and attachment patterns that show up within the relationship. Understanding these deeper dynamics is essential to helping couples build authentic, enduring connection.
