Brief Bio:

My earliest experience in this field was in an agency child and adolescent clinic. Working with parents and families was part of that experience. That foundation has been invaluable. Upon entering private practice, the best advice I received was You Must Have Supervision and come check out OSPS! Sage advice indeed. Early on I participated in the OSPS "One Year Course", now the Foundations Course. I've been extremely fortunate to have had supervision for years with Mary Ann Coates, participate in group consultation with Doris Chediak and to have had analysis with Anne Early.
My private practice has evolved into an eclectic approach which is collaborative, psychoanalytically oriented, and individualized to the unique needs of each person. The majority of my patients are adults and at times a middle schooler or adolescent. I am in network with several insurance companies, including Medicare, which allows me to provide services to patients who might not otherwise have access to private practice mental health services. Family members of my patients are included in the therapeutic process as needed to address specific goals. This piece of treatment has proven to be very effective for stabilizing a patient and
clearing the way for a deeper therapy. I feel honored to be a part of my patients lives and support system and am deeply gratified when they are able to find their way to balance, contentment and joy.

Involvements & Interests in Psychoanalysis & Psychodynamic Therapies:

My involvement in psychoanalysis includes having had my own analysis and attending a course, study groups and seminars through OSPS. As I have not had psychoanalytic training, all of the seminars are enlightening and delightful for me. I provide psychodynamic therapy for patients who desire deeper work over time yet I embrace alternative approaches to talk therapy such as IFS (Internal Family Systems therapy) as appropriate for complex trauma patients.
